Come hear Aaron Feickert, a mathematician with the Monero Research Lab located right here in Gainesville, talk about his experience in using and working with cryptocurrencies.
Aaron's presentation will help answer many common questions someone looking to get started with Bitcoin, Monero or one of the other cryptocurrencies may have, including privacy and taxation, so they can begin the transition away from Central Bank controlled fiat currency.
After his presentation Aaron will answer any questions you may have and the floor will be open for discussion and socializing. Following the break, anyone who wishes to stay for the Libertarian Party business meeting may do so.
Come prove volunteerism works while also advertising the Alachua County Libertarian Party on two signs in a high trafficked area of Gainesville!
The Alachua County Libertarians have adopted NW 23rd Ave, between NW 13th Street and NW 21st Terrace. We are meeting in the Taco Bell parking lot, which is at the corner of 23rd and 13th, at 8 am to pass out safety gear and bags. The City of Gainesville has put up signs in recognition of our efforts.
Come hear Mayor Jordan Marlowe, an elected Libertarian serving in Newberry, talk about his years of experience solving local problems and improving the lives of the residents of Newberry using libertarian solutions as the inaugural speaker for The Liberty Series!
Mayor Marlowe's city commission reduced Newberry's taxes for 5 consecutive years and he has demonstrated to the County Commission how to achieve goals, such as water conservation, through volunteerism and market principles. His successes have contributed to making Newberry one of the fastest growing cities in Florida.
After his presentation Mayor Marlowe will answer any questions you may have and the floor will be open for discussion and socializing. Following the break, anyone who wishes to stay for the affiliate business meeting may do so.
Come support local Libertarian candidates during the City of Alachua Fireworks Festival at our information booth which will be shared by the Gregory Caudill for Alachua County Commissioner campaign and the Paul Wolfe for School Board campaign. Help by wearing a party or candidate's shirt (they will be provided), pass out flyers and answer questions about what the Libertarian Party stands for and how they can get involved. You can come and go anytime between 3 pm and 10 pm.
If you can't man the booth, please come by anyway to say "Hi" and get a campaign shirt so you can help promote our candidates as winning races is the best way to grow our party.
Stay to enjoy the fireworks with us as they start at 9:30 pm.
Meet up with us at Sal's Place for this month's Libertarian Social. Find new like minded liberty-loving friends while you talk about life, politics and philosophy over drinks, billiards and darts. This social will be in lieu of a regular affiliate business meeting given the ACL Constitutional Review earlier in the day and Father's Day during our normal meeting time.
